I am principally concerned with how ideas can be realised: using new ways of thinking and theoretical insights to not only 'add value' but also to establish what real value is and to protect and promote it. My professional life has been divided between learning through practice and experience, and through teaching and learning. I have worked in industry and taught in the professional and academic sphere since 1998, whilst studying either full or part time alongside. I believe that those who teach must both know what happens in practice, be doers of that practice, and consistently maintain their knowledge - and create new knowledge - at the interface with the future.
