Bio

I am a cell biologist by training, having gained a PhD from University of Liverpool / RIKEN Japan, on the study of Ca2+ signalling and novel Ca2+ modulating pharmaceuticals in exocrine pancreas.
My laboratory studies were furthered through post-doctoral research at King's College London into the cellular trafficking of lysosomes.

Moving into study management, I coordinated the Genetics of Endocrine Tumours study at QMUL, managing a large database of pituitary adenoma patients for genomics research. The role encompassed data ethics and patient consent, which were supplemented by my voluntary experience on the Queen's Square Research Ethics Committee.

Utilising all of my previous research experience, I have transitioned into the role of Business Development Manager at QMUL, with a primary focus on KTPs in the biological & medical sciences.
I am expanding my core business skills through the study of an executive MBA at Cass Business School.

I have an interest in research culture and successfully bid for funding from the Sasakawa Foundation to explore research culture at RIKEN, Japan and QMUL.
