A highly effective business professional with a strong background in business development and marketing, I am a Senior Manager at the University of York responsible for the strategic development of innovation and enterprise and have extensive experience of working in partnership with a range of stakeholders.

I have portfolio responsibility for Innovation development, consultancy, training and executive education, apprenticeships, local and regional economic development, collaborative partnerships, commercialisation of the University’s intellectual property and incubation and start-up support.

Recognized as a pro-active, analytical, team working, highly effective and practical decision-maker,

Alongside my university work, I am a Department of International Tarde Export Champion for the Northern Powerhouse. I regularly promote the UK Higher Education and Corporate Training sector to overseas governments and corporations and speak to audiences of UK businesses on export and international business.

In 2007 I established The Training Gateway which helps UK and international public and private sector organisations address their skills needs by providing a free single point of contact through which to source corporate, vocational and executive training and educational partnerships from UK universities and colleges.

Outside of work I love long-distance trail running, gardening and travel.
